AND FAMILY DAY

Get ready for a day where learning and fun come together!

Join us at the Home School Showcase & Family Day—an exciting event for homeschoolers, curious parents, and families eager to explore new educational opportunities.

​

Discover a variety of homeschool resources, curriculum options, and expert services to help support your child’s learning journey. It’s also a great time to start planning for next school year by finding the materials and classes your student may need.

​

Kids and parents alike will enjoy hands-on science demos, exciting outdoor activities, and the always-popular bubble zone for endless fun. Plus, don’t miss a special presentation of ‘Really Cool Science’ by the Arizona Science Center at 1 PM! And of course, delicious snacks will be available to keep everyone fueled for the day

WHEN: Saturday, April 12th

​TIME: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Cost: $10/family pre-registration; $25/family at the door

SPECIAL PARENT WORKSHOPS:  

You CAN Homeschool (Getting Started)

Speaker: Holly Craw, homeschool mom, CHSRC co-founder, and Board Member

Intro to Curriculum (Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Science)
🕚 11:00 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.
Speaker: Janet Forte, homeschool mom, and CHSRC Executive Director

Creating High School Transcripts
🕛 12:00 p.m. – 12:50 p.m.

Speaker: Tami Lopez, homeschool mom, former college homeschool admissions counselor, and CHSRC Board Member​

SPECIAL KID ACTIVITIES:

  • Face painting-ongoing

  • Bubble zone-ongoing

  • Science with Karen-ongoing (CHSRC co-founder and Science Teacher Extraordinaire!)

  • Outdoor games & activities

  • Story Time, 11:00 a.m. & noon.

  • Arizona Science Center, Really Cool Science- 1:00 p.m.

SNACKS- Take a shot at deliciousness! 🎯 Support the Homeschool Dove Archery Team at the Aim & Munch Snack Bar—where every bite is right on target! 🏹🍎

40% OFF USED BOOKS: Visit all the vendors to earn 40% off used books during the event. Bookstore opens at 11:00 am.

DONATE BOOKS: Donate your gently used curriculum and books and bless other homeschool families. A convenient drop-off location will be available in the parking lot.

​

EVENT RAFFLE: Stay until the end for our exciting prize raffle! All attending families will be entered for a chance to win — winners will be drawn at the close of the event. We’ve got a fantastic lineup of prizes, generously donated by our amazing partners.

 

LOCATION: Covenant Home School Resource Center, located on the campus of Sovereign Grace Bible Church, 2940 W Bethany Home Rd., Phoenix AZ 85017

We need your help! Our Home School Showcase and Family Day is coming up, and we’re looking for volunteers to make this event a success.

 

We need several people to assist with set-up, clean-up, and helping with various activities throughout the day. Whether you can lend a hand for a little while or stay the whole time, your support would be greatly appreciated!
